The morning started with Charlie crying and complaining of an earache. He has never complained of his ear hurting so we took it pretty seriously. I called the 1-800 NZ nurse lady who told me to give him tylenol for the pain (why didn't I think of that?). Jason helped Charlie get in the shower and he took a 1-hour shower until the pain medicine kicked in. After the shower, he was happy and cheerful. He got really sad when I told him he wouldn't be able to go to preschool. I almost actually brought him to preschool because of his miraculous recovery, but they said he couldn't come if he was taking tylenol for pain/fever. Here is a video of Charlie skyping with Nana after breakfast. I cringe now, seeing how much he was interacting with Liam over the past 24 hours.
I thought I was being overly-cautious, but I made an appointment with our GP for after lunch. So glad I did! Here is Charlie after the appointment, eyes gushing yellow puss and face one slimey glazed donut. YUCK! Poor little man! (Double click on the photos if you want to see how bad it was). The doctor said his ears were enflamed and his throat and nose were infected. We got him an antiobiotic and hope he gets better in a few days. I've never seen anything quite like this before.
| Poor little guy - but he made his 3rd poopoo on the potty in a week! Yay! |

I know he looks super miserable in these pictures, but he was actually so happy and chill this evening. He is just the most content sick dude. Praying he will be fully recovered in the next few days!
Poor little buddy! I have never seen anything like that!
