Buzz in Oz

We were able to get up to Australia for Jason's work trip. We are spending 5 days in Canberra (the capital) before heading up north to warmth. A few highlights (in no particular order):

1. IKEA!!! First visit in 1 year - thrilled they had a store in Sydney. I got a cute lamp for the boys' bedroom and we relished in the kid-friendly dining experience.




2. I met up with an old friend from Australia who I worked with at Fort Belvoir. Fun to catch up over hit chocolate!



3. Questacon Science Museum and Australian War Memorial








4. Attended the US embassy 4th of July celebration - complete with fireworks and BUZZ ALDRIN!

    Totally with you on IKEA! We like to go just as an outing, not even necessarily to buy stuff. The food is cheap and there are lots of options. The girls love to roam the kids' showroom, and it's pretty much the most kid-friendly store there is! :)
